There is no doubt that Julian Assange has been subject to one of the most vicious attacks any journalist in the western democracies has ever faced, and which has continued for roughly a decade.
For several years now, according to UN experts, this has amounted to psychological torture, and there have been repeated calls to the UK to stop these punishing regimes, but all to no avail.
In this short film we hear from experts in various fields as to how what is happening to Assange amounts to torture, and once again we hear calls for his release.
There is no doubt that those in power, and whose crimes he exposed, have used this case to scare whistleblowers and journalists alike into refraining from work of this kind because of the consequences it might bring.
Unfortunately those who might suffer the most: publishers, editors and journalists in the mainstream media, have refused to offer any assistance, and sit it out on the sidelines, seemingly unaware that their activities will also be suppressed.
